My Equipment

A man with glasses and a beard is sitting on a stool, playing an acoustic guitar and singing into a microphone, in a room with a white wall. There are plants and a speaker nearby, with a cocktail glass on top of the speaker.

Yamaha Stagepas 1K PA System

The STAGEPAS 1K is an all-in-one portable PA system that allows me to quickly and easily transform any location into your stage. Delivering professional level audio performance with a setup so simple it enables me to provide top quality audio easily and quickly. I supplement this system with some smaller speakers to provide a large sound for medium and larger venues.

Maton EBG808 Nashville

A person holding an ice cream cone with caramel and vanilla ice cream in front of a blue Volkswagen van with a white roof and a guitar leaning against it.

This is my main acoustic guitar Remy J — warm, rich, and super reliable. It’s built by Maton here in Australia and is known for its gorgeous, natural sound that works perfectly for both soft, intimate songs and bigger, energetic strums.

It’s comfortable to play for long sets, records beautifully, and thanks to its pro pickup system, it sounds just as good plugged in on stage as it does unplugged at home.

Thanks J.

BOSS RC-300 Loop System

A person wearing red shoes and dark pants kneels next to a BOSS RC-300 Loop Station guitar effects pedal with three footswitches, knobs, and a digital display, connected by cables.

Using the RC-300 I’m able to create live loops for each song, layering percussion, bass, rhythm, harmonies and melodies for a lush and full sound,

TC Helicon Play Acoustic

Audio guitar effects pedal with a digital display indicating high harmony, multiple foot buttons, and two footswitches.

Feeding my guitar through this pedal enables it to create harmonies of my voice live, which I activate on and off for moments of impact.

Sennheiser e935 Microphone

A man with glasses and a beard, wearing a white t-shirt, plays acoustic guitar and sings into a microphone in a dimly lit venue.

I use this mic because of its warmth that suits my deep voice. It’s tough and built for my clumsiness and handles lots of background noise — so even with other instruments playing loud around me which helps for live looping.
